IOS IPAD update 15.2.1 and charging issues

I downloaded the new version for IPAD Pro on Friday, Jan 21st (Ipad OS 15.2.1). I have had nothing but trouble with the update and now my pad will not charge or will not start even attempting a force restart. Because it shows the battery is dead and I know it is not dead. I have attempted to charge it with a cable and a charge block that works on both my older ipad air 2 as well as my Iphone 11. This is really frustrating and this update has virtually made my ipad useless. Please help!!!!
