Photo Slideshow & Apple Music/Itunes
One of the songs in my music library bought recently through iTunes is grayed out so not accessible for use in a photo slideshow. Why not?

We understand that you’re unable to choose a specific song when creating a slideshow in the Photos app on your Mac.
You mentioned that you purchased the song via the iTunes Store. Just to confirm, are you an Apple Music subscriber? Did you already download the song to your Mac? In the article below, it mentions that if you’re having trouble selecting music, to “close Photos, then open Music and sign in if you haven’t already. With Music open, open Photos again, then select your slideshow. Click the Music button and choose Music from the pop-up menu to see your music list appear.” Create slideshows in Photos on Mac
