MacBook Case concern

Is it true that using a MacBook case can cause your MacBook to overheat? Is it advisable to use a case because I am using an ultra-slim case right now on my MacBook pro?

Anything that restricts air flow can cause overheating issues. How badly depends on too many variables to try and define even single case here. I've used them and had both no problems and problems with overheating. If your machine is not overheating with either, or both, of what you're asking about installed, you'll likely have no problems. However; that does not preclude problems in the future. It's a crap shoot and you have to decide if you want to use them on your MacBook or not.
