"Good" mail going to Junk Mac Mail folder in error

This question was asked several years ago (probably 10), but was not answered sufficiently for my needs. All of a sudden many of my emails are going into my Junk folder, even though some of them are junk and some are from well-established emails from friends. I have to check every day and carefully mark everything that I want as "not junk." It is making no difference. Very frustrating.

I had the same issue. My email provider was marking the mail junk over riding what I did within Apple mail. I fixed the issue by looking at the mail on my server's web site and marking it as not junk then it was OK.

Thanks for the info. Long time ago I had to call Comcast so they would stop marking mail as junk and they said they did, but it's starting again. I will go online to my mail on Comcast and hopefully I can mark as not junk there. But it's confusing because in Apple Mail the message in the junk folder it says "Apple Mail thinks this message is junk," but that's not nessarily true.
