Text notifications are too quiet and all the settings are turned up. Ringer works fine.

I've watched youTubes, googled everything I can find and contacted apple and nothing works - all the settings in the phone are correct. This is a new iphone12mini. The ringer volume is great - just like the old phone, but all the text notifications are very quiet. If I'm at my desk and the phone is here, no problem. If I'm in the bedroom and the phone is on the bar - forget it. With the old phone it was easily heard. My husband got a new mini also and his is the same way.
