Use a Computer and Ethernet:

Start with attempting an update through use of a computer. But this time, use Ethernet.  Go Here: Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip. On the computer, you would connect it through Ethernet, going directly into your router. For a Mac (or PC) that does not have Ethernet, this would be the adapter to use: Belkin USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - Apple

What, specifically, are you having trouble with? You know to go to Settings > General > Software Update right?

Yes, WiFi is required, or update using a computer. The steps are included in my initial post.

What steps have you taken? And what has happened?

I believe you can update from iTunes which would require you to connect your phone to the PC with a cable. I've always wirelessly updated though.
