Hangs after installing Security Update 2021-005

Two days ago at 9PM I started installing macOS Catalina Security Update 2021-005 10.15.7. Next day at 8AM, the progress showed 100%, but my pc was not logged in nor login window showed. Before the setup, I set auto login to on.

I hard rebooted my iMac. The boot progress was quite fast till about 60%. Then it was much slower till 100% and it hang again.

I ran repair mode (command+r) and run First Aid from Disk Utility. That did not help.

Then I tried to run iMac on safe mode. It always showed kernel panic after about 5% of the boot progress.

Then I restored local snapshot (before I run the update) using TimeMachine from the repair mode. It took 5 or 10 minutes. Now my pc was booted up and was logged in automatically. The update is not installed.

How can I install new Security Update without problems?

If the reason was in a kernel extension, are there any logs on my mac I can see to find out the reason of the hangs and kernel panics?

I have VirtualBox and possible other programs which installed kext.

Etrecheck

Suggest downloading the Application Etrecheck directly from a Well Respected ASC Contributor. The application is free or paid from added features. Run the application with Full Disc Access ( Security & Privacy - Full Disc Access ). It will take a Snap Shot - both the hardware and software. The Report will Not Reveal Any Personal Information. Post back the Full Report - copy and paste - using the Additional Text Icon ( 3rd Icon to last )

We can have a look at the report for possible issues and may have possible suggestions to resolve the issues.

Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS, alter, modify, remove or delete or attempt to do so is an invitation for disaster and may require a Reinstallation of the OS.

Ethecheck, I am not sure I can provide Full Disc Access. Is there any boot log that logs crashes or logs of safe mode?

I did not know EtreCheck created a report in a text form. I ran it with with Full Disc Access. Please review it.

I did not find any crash logs. I have only two 3-rd party kernel extensions:

Next time I run the Software Update, I will try to disable or uninstall them both.
