ios 14.8 connection issues

i updated my iphone 12 to ios 14.8 and now my phone says no service. iā€™ve tried resetting my phone and removing the sim card and nothing has worked. iā€™ve seen that people have been having issues with ios 14.8 and 14.7.1 lately. please let me know if thereā€™s a solution to this.
