It seems there is 5Gb free space for all Apple users.

Sorry I have no experience with using iPhone apps for grouping contacts.

Instead of a Contact app you may want to look at 3rd party group texts apps.

For your needs you are going to have to look at 3rd party apps.

iOS Contacts doesn't have the "groups" feature you want.
