Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Even though I've allowed notifications for Apple Podcasts and selected podcasts I follow I never seem to receive a notification for a new episode. This applies to both macOS and iOS.
I've also noticed that there is no longer an option to select refresh rate, so I'm not sure when I should expect such notifications.

Nevermind. As it turns out Podcasts notifications are not regular alert notifications, but background ones; which means that the app must not be force-quit in order to receive and process the notification.
