NO ONE here is a representative of Apple.

Perhaps you should re-read the Apple Support Communities Terms of Use.

Your opinion (and mine) of how something should work is not relevant here. This is a technical support forum, not a place to voice opinions regarding Apple's design decisions.

The only things that are relevant here are the facts as to how things work.

Air Tag is a blue tooth device that should be able to be paired to more than one iPhone, not an iCloud account. Plus if you share your iCloud account the other user should be able to help track your Air Tag. I will probably not purchase an Air Tag until my wife can track it too. We can pair our phones through blue tooth to our car along with my iPod Touch and there are no restrictions. Apple needs to fix this before I will spend the money on Air Tag.

No it’s not possible.

The FindMy architecture for “high power” devices is FUNDAMENTALLY different from the architecture for the “minuscule power” AirTags.

Any AirTag can be “located” using FindMy on the trusted devices of exactly ONE AppleID (the AppleID of the device used for pairing).

We can go into in the technical rationale of why this is so (which is quite interesting from a technical standpoint) … and speculate endlessly about the design process that led to this particular technical implementation …

… but it doesn’t change the fact.
