Lines at the bottom of screen start appearing after sometime

Hi

I am having a problem with my macbook. After a few hours of work horizontal lines starts appearing at the bottom of screen. They vanish if I put macbook to sleep and start again.

Screenshot attached.

Any pointers to sort out this issue?

TIA

Take a screenshot, then when viewing the screenshot make sure to move the image a bit higher so it does not overlap that bottom area so you can see whether the lines appear in the screenshot. You can also connect an external display and enable mirroring. If the lines do not appear on the screenshot or the external display, then the laptop has a hardware issue with the laptop's built-in Display which will need to be repaired.
