Hello, little_fabrications.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities. We were sorry to read that you’ve been experiencing issues with your MacBook display. If we understand correctly, it sounds like you were just experiencing Touch Bar and screen whitening issues at first, but it has progressed into the solid colored lines and you’re not able to see anything on your built-in display now at all. If this is the case, we want to be very transparent in letting you know that this is generally indicative of a hardware issue, and you may need to seek out service from Apple directly.
If you have an external display, mouse, and keyboard that you can connect to your MacBook, you might try connecting those to see if you can close the built-in display long enough to create a backup.

Once you have secured your data, try running Apple Diagnostics as outlined here:

If you see the lines on the display in Apple Diagnostics or a hardware error appears, this article will help you find service for your MacBook:

If you don’t see the lines, and you’re able to successfully run the diagnostics, try resetting the NVRAM next. This governs your display resolution and other potential systems that could be impacting your display:
