transferring photos from mac to mac

is there anyway to transfer my whole photos library from one mac to another without using an external hard drive (because i do not have one) or using icloud (because i do not have enough space left for my whole photos library)? I have tried the migration assistant but because i have already set up my new laptop i've already created a user and all my information, and i also have a lot of stuff on my old mac i do not want to transfer - i only want my photos.
