Top row of my magic keyboard not working properly.

I connected my new magic keyboard to my iMac. All they keys on the first line of my keyboard doesn't work properly. When I try to control my brightness or sound level, it makes that iconic apple error beep noise. Is there a way to fix this?

Power down Mac, unplug from wall for a few minutes then plug back in and reboot and see if the keypad will work. If that fails you may have to use a wired keyboard then remove the bluetooth keypad from the bluetooth pane and then reinstall the keyboard.
