Messenger loses auto correct and predictive text setting

Hi

When typing a text in Messenger, when accidentally hitting the Globe icon at the bottom left of the screen under the keyboard the keyboard flashes and appears to jump around for a split second. Then I lose the predictive text and auto correct functions.

Any one else experience this?

Cheers

Hello Bigday_28,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities! We understand that auto-correct and predictive text stop working when you accidentally touch the globe icon on your keyboard using an iPhone. We'd be happy to help provide more information about this behavior.

What you're experiencing can be normal as mentioned in the following support article:

How to use Auto-Correction and predictive text on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

To turn predictive text off or on, touch and hold  or . Tap Keyboard Settings, then turn on Predictive. Or go to Settings > General > Keyboard, and turn Predictive on or off.

If you have multiple keyboards installed on the iPhone that you do not need, you can remove the additional keyboards, which will also remove the globe icon following the steps here:

Add or change keyboards on iPhone - Apple Support

Take care.
