Is US warranty valid in India?

Hi Team, I am planning to purchase a iPhone 13 pro from US and use it in India. I want to get a reconfirmation if the product warranty from USA is valid in India? I heard in between that it is not but while researching I cam across https://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/products/ios-warranty-document-us.html that states that it.

Please advise

Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and HomePod to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device."

No matter what you think your chat offered, iPhone warranty is NOT, nor has it EVER been international. A phone purchased in the US CANNOT be replaced in India. If an iPhone requires being replaced, Apple will ONLY replace a phone with the exact same model as was purchased. US phones are different from phones sold in India as Apple sells iPhone based on country of purchase. Since you could never get a US model as a replacement in India, this means you will need to travel back to the US with your phone for warranty replacement.

Whether you want to believe us or not, doesn't matter. India resellers are notorious for refusing warranty service on a phone not purchased in India.

Buyer beware. Your money, do as you want. Just know there are very probable issues buying a US iPhone and expecting or getting warranty support in India.

Save this chat and if you get a hardware failure on your iPhone and they tell you they can't replace it show this to them. Just remember you are talking to a first line sales person, not an Apple executive, so they probably won't honor this.

No.

There is no international warranty.

US iphones are the only iphones with mm wave antennas.

They can't replace a US iphone with an identical phone in India.

They will refuse warranty coverage based on that.

Also directly from the warranty terms:

Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and HomePod to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.
