SafariPlugInUpdateNotifier Quit Unexpectedly

Hi

I have been getting this "SafariPlugInUpdateNotifier Quit Unexpectedly" window that keeps popping up - repeatedly. I close it and it comes back. The only way to stop it popping up is not to close it.

It's very annoying.

I've seen others have experienced the same issue - has anyone managed to find a fix?

thanks

Nancy

Hi there DrNancyP,

We understand you're seeing a repeat popup indicating a Safari process quit unexpectedly. We're glad you've connected with us here in Apple Support Communities, and we can provide some guidance.

To begin, you'll want to be sure your MacBook Air is running the latest software version, so that you can ensure Safari is updated. The most current release is macOS Big Sur 11.6. Learn more about updating or upgrading your Mac from the links below:

If you're still seeing this error report pop-up, let's try checking for any Safari extensions, and test the issue further by disabling or removing them. Learn how here:

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers.
