My AirTag disappeared from Find My after updating my iPhone to iOS 15. Anyone know the fix? Removed the AirTag using my iPad and followed the AirTag steps. No luck. Still can’t add it back. I can add the AirTag to the iPad (not running iOS 15) but it won’t show up on the iPhone. Pic shows the error when trying to add the AirTag on the iOS 15 iPhone.

I did receive a fix for this from apple engineering.
The above worked for my 5 AirTags to reconnect to iOS15
I’ve tried the steps to reset the AirTag but I never get a different sound so I’m not sure it’s actually resetting. I can add and remove the AirTag from my iPad Mini (iOS 14.6) and my wife’s iPhone SE (second gen w/iOS 15). I just can’t add it to my iPhone 11 Pro (iOS15). Prior to updating my phone, the AirTag was working fine. May end up making an appointment at the Apple store.
Still a bit a of a vulnerability - i.e. you may not know your item is lost for a few hours or days.
Either way, it worked for this iOS 15 upgrade, but unfortunate Apple had such a major bug with the release.
Called care to get this resolved. They are also escalating my issue to engineering to review.
I have gone through all these steps and none of my 8 AirTags will reappear.
Resetting them didn’t help either.
I finally got my AirTag to show up on my iPhone running iOS 15.

Really apple? Reseting the iPhone is the solution? reseting 3 times works better? After iOS 15 all my airTags disappear from my phone, they are on iCloud. Reseting 3+ times It did not work for me. Ridiculous.
I have had a similar, but different thing happen as I have airtags and now it does not see them. and received a message of airtag is with you ...

Thanks. No amount of turning my phone on/off has worked for me. I called AppleCare and they are escalating the issue to the engineering team. I should hear back in 2-3 days.
Once marked lost, they can’t be reset.
I did the air tag reset procedure too. But I am still unable to add it back to my account. It see it but I get this message. Also tried resetting network settings. No joy.
Airtag not working. Can’t even connect it back. Worst update.

Nearly a week after update and no solution. Tried everything in these threads.
I just bought 4, upgraded to iOS 15 the next day, can’t use any of them! Closely watching this thread!
