Previous shortcuts I have made in iOS 14 aren't running unless I grant them permission to.
It's really annoying as it defeats the whole 'shortcut' idea. I've tried reinstalling the app and deleting the shortcuts. But it still won't work.
The current shortcut i'm trying to use is to open a chrome URL (furaffinity.net), but it keeps asking me permission everytime I try and run it.
This is because of a new added feature in iOS 15 to protect access to data by shortcuts. If you go to Shortcuts, go into editing mode, then open the settings in the upper right, you will see the new Privacy tab. Once you grant access the first time, you should see the app or other data location listed with the slide switch On. You ‘could’ toggle it to Off but then your shortcut most likely would not function correctly. If you select Reset Privacy, it will clear the saved info. The next time you run the shortcut, the privacy prompt will reoccur. On the positive side, it looks like privacy items are automatically added as On when creating new shortcuts within the Shortcut app.

I was having the same problem, hence my search for this very question. What seemed to fix it for me was a restart, then select my shortcut, press ALLOW, then close the program. After I did this, it seemed to work without having to do it every time. It’s really annoying, though. I wish they could have kept well enough alone.

It seems that the only way to solve the problem is to recreate your Shortcut. I tried to compare the old broken Shortcut file with the new one, but I was surprised to find that the shortcut file format in iOS 15 is neither a binary plist nor a plain text file.

What happens when you create an entirely new shortcut? Does it work as expected? Or are you still getting Privacy notifications? Test with a new shortcut if you can.

Yeah I've tried restarting it, and when I create a new shortcut, the issue still persists:/
Even if I change the browser to open the URL in safari instead, the same privacy pop-up appears.
Looks like its a minor bug in the 15.0 update, I hope it's patched in the next release

OK, I see that privacy tab now. As long as it does not repeatedly ask for permission, I am good.
