Hello there Kohala19,

We'd like to help however we can to get that email to use with sending emails from the Mail app.

First, we'd like to clarify a few things to make sure we understand what's happening, along with ruling out some basics:

  1. Please review this link in full: What is Hide My Email?
  2. What exactly occurs when you try sending mail with the email address obtained through Hide My Email on the iCloud website? The more details you provide, the better equipped we'll be to assist.

Take care!

It turns out that when you give the email to someone, they will have to email you first and then you can reply using that email and keeping your personal email private. You cannot initiate a new email from the random email generated by hide my email feature, at least not for now.

It is frustrating and hope apple finds a way to enable this soon.

You can test by sending an email from your other non-icloud account (gmail, etc.) to one of your random emails. When you reply from your icloud email, although the from would show your actual email account, the other account (gmail, etc.) would see as if the email has been sent from the random email id.
