Do Not Disturb has changed and its really upsetting!

I just updated my phone to iOS 15 and although I love the great features it provides the one thing that I needed the most has changed! Before, whenever I turned on Do Not Disturb, my phone would not buzz when I get notifications but when I tap on the screen, it would allow me to see what notifications I got. Now with the new update, I don't get ANY notifications even when I tap the screen. I hope Apple can give an option to silence the phone from buzzing but still provide notifications on the screen. If someone knows of a solution, please let me know!!
