Why won’t share location on Find My work?

When I try to share my son’s location from his iPad to my phone it says “this phone number does not appear to be associated with an iPhone,” but I have an XR?

Person I sent share to in Find My not showing up in People in IOS 13 I sent a request to my daughter in the new Find My. It claims it sent the request which means the name should show up in my people, but it does not. I tried the same thing on my wife's iPhone 7 with iOS 13 and it worked. I have an iPhone X. Why doesn't she show up in People? If I look under Messages, it says the time and date that I started to share my location with my daughter

"My Location" setting in Find my Iphone keeps changing I have five phones on my icloud account and verizon plan. All running current v of ios (15.x). I set the "My Location" to "This Device" in the Find my Iphone settings, and then it will end up changing to another user/phone in our family. Searched forums, etc but no avail. Any explanation or fix to this issue? problem is, it switches to my daughters phone and she shares her location with friends, and suddenly I start seeing her calls in my recent history, etc. Much thanks!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're unable to share your son's location using Find My. What happens if you enter his name instead of the phone number? Also are you following all the steps listed in the article below?

Find friends and share your location with Find My

If so and you're still having issue sharing the location, please connect with Apple at Get Support for additional assistance.
