Problem with upgrade to Big Sur on my Mac I currently have an iMac, OS High Sierra, Version 10.13.6 - from mid-2014; I attempted to upgrade to Big Sur - but I got stuck just finding how/where to download the app. I went to the app, and when I clicked on ‘download’ nothing happened. If I can’t download it, how can I upgrade to it? It says that my computer is compatible with Big Sur - then why am I have issues with it. Am I supposed to be upgrading to Catalina instead? My Mac is way behind my other 2 devices… But - what’s the issue with Big Sur? Thank you

macbook pro does not support Big Sur Hi My macbook pro is pre 2013 (late 2012) and it does not support the new Big Sur. What to do in this case? Am I supposed to not be able to use all the new apps that are compatible only with Big Sur? any other option? My pc is fully functioning and I use it for work everyday.

probably not, no 32bit apps will run

any app developer can if they so choose recompile their app to be 64bit

but if they have long abandoned the project / app there may be noone to do so

or in some cases wish to do so

There are probably thousands, would you expect someone to compile a list,

or expect someone to read it?
