Error 69673 on all WD external HDs

(Sorry for possible incorrect words, my native language is German)

I am getting several errors on all my external Western Digital Hard Drives (My Book 12TB, My Book 6TB, My Passport 4TB, G-Drive mobile 2TB). The one error, they all have in common is Error 69673. I am running 11.5.2 on iMac 27“ 8-Core i7.

I am thinking it might be a problem with the iMac. Suddenly the iMac no longer recognized My Passport 4TB while I was editing videos in Final Cut. Then I was asked to initialize the WD-HD. After a view hours and several tries on my MacBook Air M1 and my old 2013 iMac with Sierra, the 2020 iMac starts to recognize My Passport again. But running first aids does not work and gives the error 69673. I also get the error (5) which looks even more serious to me.

Any ideas?

After you initialize you need to open Disk Utility and be sure the drives are formatted to Mac OS Journaled or APFS.
