.ics downloads

When I attempt to add a calendar invite after registering for an event, the iCal option downloads an .ics file to my iPhone 7+ instead of opening directly in iCal.

When I download the file and click open, I see the invite but there’s no option to accept.

This has happened on my iPhone 7+ in iOS 14 & iOS 15, using the Chrome browser.

No longer able to send invitations in Apple Calendar With the recent iOS update (15 or 15.0.1), I can no longer invite others to calendar events I create. I am using an iPhone 12 Pro Max, model number MG9E3LL/A, with iOS 15.0.1. I used to be able to invite others when I created a calendar event, but that option has recently disappeared and I don't see any settings that would allow me to make an adjustment to bring it back. Adding Google Calendar invites to Calendar app I have received an event invitation from Google calendars via email (gmail account). I can open the file attached "invite.ics" on my iPhone and it's displayed as a normal iphone calendar invite, but I can't find a way to accept it and add it to my iPhone calendar. Can anyone explain to me how I can accept Google Calendar events and have them added to my iPhone calendar app please? (First asked here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251377922)

Calendar invitation option not available Since updating to IOS 14, I don’t have the option of inviting of ‘invitees’ when editing an event and swiping up. I have read that yahoo calendar types are not serviced anymore and I need to have an iCloud calendar. I have no idea how to change my calendar type and still keep my iPad and iPhone synced. I’m not a techie. Any words of wisdom? Thanks!

Try in Safari and see if same thing is happening.
