My Apple ID setting will not update an i don’t know why

Try resetting your phone! Also turn Airplane mode off and on! Try re- logging in! Close app and open again! Reset your password! Make sure phone is charged and on WiFi if not on WiFi please make sure cellular data is turned on! Thanks for the question hope this solves your problem!

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.

Try a restart.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch         

Try a forced restart.

Reset Device.      

If necessary

Hard reset.        

Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.

Restore to Factory setting.      

Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
