I installed WatchOS 8 on my Apple Watch Series 6 on Monday night. The battery is draining super quick now. For example in drained 20% while going out to dinner and back over 1.5 hours.

Appreciate the feedback. Took a first step of unpairing and repairing the watch to start. So far seems to have helped. Real test will be overnight and thru the day tomorrow. Typically i charge it before bed and then use til I sit down at night and charge while watching TV prior to bed. Never had an issue in the past with the battery lasting.
I am also having the same problem as well. It started just after I updated to watchOS 8.3 , and now I can have a full charge and in just a few hours it completely dead.
Hi when I unpaired I got an option to go with an earlier backup whicj was IOS 7. That might work for you.

Hey guys. I solved this here. Just do the unpair. When u pair the Applewatch, DONT use the backup. Start as a new watch.
I’ve recently noticed this exact same behavior after the latest update. My battery drains a lot faster. My watch use to last over a day and now it’s about 10 hours and it’s almost dead.
