Can't swipe to open apps or messages, ios 15

I can no longer swipe to open up app notifications or to open up messages. Is this suppose to be happening with iOS 15? Does anyone else have this issue? I try to swipe and it either won't let me, or it swipes to my search screen.

I’ve found that turning Face ID off allows me to swipe right again. I discovered this after I reset my phone and I had to set up Face ID again. I contacted Apple Support via Twitter about this, and they told me that is expected behavior of iOS 15 with a link to leave feedback. So I guess this is a thing now ?

Hi

I've the same problem with Ipad Pro 11 with new IOS15. I swipe screen with 4 fingers to see resident app's. then I try to swipe upe each app and they don't make ( I can't kill the app). If I hold down a finger on app nothing happens. If a touch an pp to open it , nothing happens.

I did a reset and after that it runs OK, until next time

thanks

I strongly dislike this tap to open feature. I miss the swiping feature as I know everyone else does as well. Let’s please change this or at least give users the option to swipe or tap.

bring the swipe back! It doesn’t make sense how some apps open with swipe, and some do not. Messages is the #1 example, they used to open with a swipe but now I have to tap? But my Uber notifications open with swipe.. and tap?

I like the swipe and/or tap
