The automatic update to Safari 15 (Catalina) came across yesterday and now a huge number of websites no longer open. The problem seems to begin after attempting to login - the redirect confuses the browser. Does anyone know what's going on?
Switching to Opera and Brave until this gets fixed. See screenshot for typical error page below.....

On the linked file posted here - “Show Package Contents” option isn’t available - and drilling down in Terminal could be a project if there are multiple levels of nested packages! Not to say anything nefarious is in there but I'm just a couple extra levels of cautious these days. Please no offense.

Solved the problem. Simple reinstall
Open Safari, go to Preferences, Select the Extensions tab, and uncheck all extensions, restart the browser and try again. That is of course if you have any extensions.
In addition a reinstall now causes safari to crash on startup.
This is exactly what my computer is doing also. I have to switch over to Chrome to be able to log in on several sites that I use on a daily basis. I hope this is fixed soon

It's disappointing this has being going on so long without Apple doing something.
Unbelievable that Apple is not doing anything about this problem. will be required to install Google Croome by default. even when working 20% of the sites no longer work

Oldekamp you're a genius. That's fixed my "A problem repeatedly occurred" in Streetview and Strava. On my Safari install WebGL 2.0 was ticked WebGL via Metal was not.
Sadly, it has not worked for eBay.
Which fix do you mean? Mine or Oldekamp's? Oldekamp's WebGL fixed the "A problem repeatedly occurred" I was getting.

Solved the problem for me :
In the Safari Menu Bar, go to Develop >> Experimental Features >> then check WebGL via Metal.
Looks like Apple have fixed it with the latest Safari and security update.
Fixed what, checking WebGL via Metal, or the specific issue you’ve reported about eBay?
eBay and I'll assume other sites with this issue.
