Separating Photos in iCloud

My daughter and I shares iCloud backup. She wants to have her own and pay for it. What do I need to do so she can separate her photos from my icloud and store her photos to her new icloud account?

Hello Bowitan,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're sharing an iCloud or Apple ID account with your daughter, and now she'd like to set up her own. It is possible that she might lose access to some data when you make the switch.

As for photos, she can download the photos to her device and when she sets up her new account, they would be synced to it. She can download the photos by going to Settings > Your Name > iCloud > Photos and selecting Download and Keep Originals.

Another option would be to download the photos she wants to another device, and transfer the photos to her phone once the new account is set up.

Set up and use iCloud Photos- Download copies of your photos and videos.

Best regards.
