The ruler will not allow me to draw straight lines on a pdf. Will work for images such as PNG or JPEG.
But when trying to markup a pdf and use the ruler function, it does not recognise the ruler. Why is this and can it be changed? All software is up to date.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It appears that you're unable to use the ruler function when using Markup for PDFs. Do you get an error message when attempting to use the ruler? Does restarting your iPad address the issue, even temporarily? Are you following all the steps listed in this article?
