I recently upgraded to IOS 15 and quickly realized that my USB audio interface is no longer recognized by my iPhone

I went on my laptop and downloaded focusrite control which I then used to update the drivers on the interface, it solved my issue
I personally just updated my Focusrite’s firmware and it worked
After I updated to iPadOS 15, I realized that it was not picking up my Audio interface when plugged into my 11 inch iPad Pro 2018. I never had this problem in iPadOS 14, but I am in 15. I ended up downgrading back to iPadOS 14.8 and it works just like normal. Will there be a fix for this bug?
Just upgrade to 15.2…or whatever the latest IOS. works fine
I have the same issue, do we just have to wait for the bug fix update? Or did you solve your issue.
i personally can’t use my iPhone in my car anymore because of this issues. It causes all my apps with audio to freeze up
I have a similar issue. My focusrite Scarlett solo USB-C interface is recognized, shows as an available audio source in Twisted Wave Recorder and all other DAWs and audio input apps- and works on my iPad-pro NTJH2LL/A. My co-worker, who is using a newer iPad-pro with the same apps cannot see the same Solo Scarlett interface. Also, the Scarlett 2 input USB-C interface that they normally use, is also unrecognized by Twisted Wave, Garage band, voice memo, etc. Believing software works the same, iPad Pro to iPad Pro, this should not be possible…
Same thing has happened to me. I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen. Beatmaker 3, Cubasis, and Roland Zenbeats no longer recognize my audio interface. I’ve updated the interface’s firmware with no fix. I’m torn between trying to wait for a fix from Apple or just downgrade back to 14.
It depends on region. Europe worked fine, US needed IOS 15.1. South America worked fine. iPad Pro A15 not M1
I am also having this issue with an M1 iPad Pro and my M-Audio USB-C interface. It worked like a dream until the iOS 15.1 update. Now it’s not recognized. Apple needs to address this asap, as many of us are working mobile and using iPads to attend virtual meetings, and podcasts.
Ok thank you for confirming. In this case what happens is that the latest iOS 15 has upgrades in terms of connections to other devices and vehicles. Due to these updates in software, the iOS version is no longer compatible with the system in your vehicle model.
We currently don't have steps to downgrade the iOS since this might severely impact your phone's functioning. We definitely don't recommend it.
As per a fix, what happens is, this is not precisely and issue, but a normal thing that happens when new iOS updates come around
If you too have been obsoleted by software “upgrades” you can leave feedback that “won’t go unheard” here.
it might be normal but I shouldn't have to upgrade my CAR so that my phone plays music...this is a bug that needs to be fixed and this obsolescence thing is something that you consider ... as much as Apple would like to believe we don't all upgrade our lives around our phones this is far from the case. I hope to see this addressed in a new bug fix soon
Just to provide a general feedback: my Topping USB DAC is detected with iOS/iPadOS 15.
I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Third Gen. With iOS 15 it no longer takes my mic feed for the audio of my videos.
Actually doesn’t.
Same problem here with my 2011 Buick. Cannot play music though USB port since upgrading to IOS 15.1
Come on Apple give us the fix, please. I can’t afford a new car paying these cell rates
