Memories used to display included photos below the video. This made saving and sharing a great old photo simple. In iOS 15 Memories there appear to be no way to extract photos from the movie. You can display the photos but clicking export only offers the movie and clicking the photo just plays the movie again instead of the logical and expected behavior of displaying the photo.

thank you for the solution. I’m still going to suggest this is an unnecessary and unintuitive behavior change from ios14. Just tap a photo share only offers the video but tap and hold to get the photo? What is this, Windows Phone?
I would not have found it either without reading the user guide. 😀 It is much less intuitive than before to get access to the photos in the Memory. The videos are a nice gimmick, but less useful than the list view of photos - less distracting noise, and in the album we can access the info of a photo - location, date, caption, etc.
