Carplay Disconnects after IOS 15

It sounds like you're having trouble using CarPlay as expected.

Does this seem to happen in any other vehicle using CarPlay?

You did a good job forgetting the stereo system. Can you try renaming the iPhone in Settings > General > About > Name?

Resetting your network settings can also help isolate. This can be done in Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before.

Lastly, testing using a different shorter Apple certified cable can provide more insight. Keep us updated once you're able to test.

Hi there! I have been having the exact same issue since I got the new iphone13. It must be a problem with iPhone software. I reset network settings on phone (and most everything else too), I made sure to allow permissions in screen time as well. I bought a brand new Apple cable, reset all settings on car and still no fix. I even took my car into the dealership and could not fix. I plugged my phone into another car and the same issue happened. It looks like there is another smaller ios15 update available. I’m going to update and see if that solves issue.

Spent all night on phone with apple support and issue was resolved. We plugged phone into iTunes, entered recovery mode and reset and updated phone. (Issue still occurred after that) Set up phone again and then needed to reset all settings and THEN issue was resolved. My suggestion, backup phone, then go settings > general > reset iPhone > reset all settings.

The same problem here: Car Play disconnects on my Iphone 12, IOS 15.1, cable connected to Bosch multimedia station in Suzuki Vitara Hybrid (2021). I have an original Apple cable, the software in the Bosch station is up to date. It seems like there are a lot of issues similar in various countries and I guess Apple should react (in many press releases it is explicitly written that IOS updates do not solve the problem so far).

This problem started yesterday for me. Iphone 13 pro/BMW . I did not experience any problem those last 15 days and then suddenly after each car restart, apple car play does not reconnect. I have to remove phone from car settings and restart the pairing, it works till engine shut down. For sure it has something to do with an automatic update from iOS.

I had this problem with my iphone 12, spent hours on the phone with apple Support and days trying to sort myself

In the end I went to my vehicle supplier (Mercedes Vito) and they did a factory reset on the media centre (radio etc)

It now works phew!!

Update: the ios15 is completely up to date, and still no fix. I’ve reset just about every setting and deleted and readded vehicle multiple times.

I have the same problem with CarPlay connected wireless to BMW G31. After while its disconnecting. After reconnect problem repeats.

Lets try to reset network settings.

I reset all network settings and this did not fix the problem for me unfortunately

CarPlay disconnects, (‘17 Escalade, wired connection) is Apple working on a fix? Occurring over the past two months. Most annoying when using navigation.

I am having this issue with iPhone 12 Pro and a 2018 Honda Odyssey ever since IOS 15, my wife’s iPhone 8 pro works without issues

Cancel that - it worked for 30 minutes then closed down again 😡😡
