Return after 14 days

My husband purchased me a series 6 Apple Watch on August 16th (date on confirmation email) but didn’t give it to me until yesterday on September 22nd for my birthday. He didn’t realize that I was waiting to get the new 7 when it comes out, plus he didn’t get the color or size I want so I really really want to return/exchange it for the one I want but we are outside the 14 days. I haven’t opened any of the packaging. Does anyone know if there is any hope for me? I’m so bummed and would like to order the exact watch I want which will actually cost more than the one he bought me.

Well, it doesn't hurt to try - you have nothing to lose. If possible, I think your best bet is to take it to an Apple Store near you and discuss it face-to-face with them.
