AirPod Pro won’t connect to apps

My brand new AirPod Pros connect right away to my phone but will not play sound when connected to any apps, such as Pandora, audio books, Netflix, YouTube any apps! I’m going to take them back if I can’t get them to work! I’m very upset about this!!

AirPod Pro Issues So I recently got a pair of new AirPod pros for Christmas, and they don’t connect fully. Like they say they’re connected but whenever I open my music app nothing plays through them. It also seems to slow down everything on my phone and take it forever to load. They’re brand new and I’ve only got them to work a handful of times but can’t seem to figure out how to make it do so consistently.

I decided to try the old “forget this device” trick, still the same problem. Then I opened up Apple Music and played some songs, flipped through apps and closed my phone/screen. Everything was working fine. I’m wondering if this is an app issue or an issue with the iOS? cheers.

AirPod disconnects when streaming Disney+ My AirPods won’t stay connected when streaming on the Disney+ app. No problem with their staying connected when playing music on iTunes. Any solutions?
