I just bought a refurbished 2017 Mac as my 2011 could no longer do updates. I previously used Google Chrome cause I don't like Safari, but the guy I bought the 2017 Mac from said Google is just too nosy and I agree. So, I'm really struggling (again) with Safari! WHERE is the search bar?!? Thanks!!!
Hello again Latranner! I figured it out ! I clicked on "customize toolbar" and dragged the search bar where it belonged. Thank you for helping to know how to fix it!
Thank you for the reply, Latranner! The "Smart Search Field" is what I was accustomed to with Chrome, but that area does not exist on my Safari (it is just a blank area). I have no idea what I did to cause it to not be there!
Hello. The search bar for Safari is at the top of the Safari window and is called the "Smart Search field." I have attached an image of this below. If you need more help with searching in Safari, or with using Safari in general, you can refer to the user guide here.
