Disable auto reply after Siri Announces new messages and reads the message?

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with Siri and Notifications. It sounds like you want to disable the auto reply feature.

Once Announce Notifications is enabled, Siri is listening and there isn't a way to disable the this feature.

This needs to be changed. I like to have a single airpod in while i work to have my messages announced but if im talking to someone at the same time as i receive a text siri automatically starts listening to what im saying and asks if im “ready to send?”. Then in the middle of my conversation i have to just randomly say “no” and people are looking at me like i have 3 heads.
