Apple Watch Notifications

Hi,

My Series 3 apple watch has the latest update of ios 8. My iphone XS has the latest update of ios 15.

Since updating to ios 15, my apple watch no longer recieves any notifications. I’ve checked all notification settings and they’re all as they should be, yet none come through on my watch (it is unlocked).

Is this something to do with the update? Is my watch no longer compatible?
