Memory Video - Export Failed (There was a problem trying to export this memory)

I’ve found that if a video being used is stored only on iCloud and not fully downloaded to your device, it can cause this error. Or if it was in a text and not saved to your photos, this can happen. Wish the software would say, “if a file is used in a memory, download it and keep it on device permanently.”

Same issue. I guess the crimes will go unsolved and criminals free because I cannot export the memories required. Can’t even save to the phone or send to anyone anywhere :(

I am having the same issue with my new iPhone 12 Pro Max.

I restarted the phone, the iOS is up to date (as of 9/29 it is iOS 15.0)

Not sure what the issue may be.

Is this an issue that is happening for many users? If so, will this be fixed in the next iOS is out.

I feel the same way too! Is there another app that anyone has been using that performs the same functions? It’s such a sneaky and low move to update a feature with less function. So stupid. Things like this is how people start the migration away from apple.

What worked for me was to remove the symbols from the title of my memory movie! I had entered “/“ slashes because I had entered a date in the title. Once I deleted those, it worked just fine! Good luck !

I had to use this workaround too, but it's still frustrating that I can't just simply export my memory.

Same problem here with IPhone 12pro max..

All software is updated.

Memory video cannot be saved, cannot be exported to Apple messenger.

I’ve spent hours followed all instructions I’ve read. Still can’t work it out!

Hi. I encountered the same issue but managed to fix this.

I changes all Live fotos in to static normal ones and removed all videos. After that I managed to export the video based on approx 90 pictures.
