Memory Video - Export Failed (There was a problem trying to export this memory)

Device: iPhone11 ProMax / Fully updated OS / Loads of free storage

This morning my phone presented me with a lovely video memory of a holiday two years ago.

I selected a few more images from the holiday and reviewed the video. It played well.

I then tried the share the video via Whatsapp and encountered the "Export Failed" error. So I tried to save the video to the gallery and got the same error.

I then replayed the video, favourited the video (for easy recall) and re-started my phone.

Yet again the phone gave me the same message when I tried to save/export the video. I attach a screenshot herewith.

I see another user:Veggiemama48 has reported the same issue without resolve. Please do assist us.

Same issue here. Why bother creating so great memories if you can’t share them with anyone!!

Apple please fix this problem ASAP

I had the same issue. Turns out one video in Memory was having trouble downloading from iCloud. I messed with it but I don't remember what exactly I did. I know I played it on my mac, tried to edit it on the phone, reverted to original, etc. Eventually it downloaded and I was able to export the Memory.

My iPhone has had the exactly same problem since I updated the system software to iOS 15.1 yesterday. It worked fine before updating the software.

Hi. I tried what someone else said and it worked. Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner, manage photos, and take something out. It’s just too big.

Hello. I already solved this issue. As much as possible, try not to use symbols in title of the video. It would work.

I have no productive input other than I upgraded the phone and rebooted and it worked at some point after. I am hesitant to say these steps fixed it but it is now working again.
