Disruptive / bad quality phone calls
My mother just got a new iPhone 8. After setting up the phone many people that she would call would tell her that her voice echoes, her words get cut off and that she sounds as if she is in an elevator.
When she calls on Whatsapp there are no issues. I first thought that there was an issue with the phone’s antenna so I put the sim card in my iPhone. Once done there was no issue with phone calls.
Actions taken:
Changed sim card, assumed that there was an issue with the old one. Issue persists
Checked the microphone by taking videos and recording voice memos, no issue with the mic
Turned on Airplane mode and turned it back on after 15 seconds, no issue at first but then issue persists.
Turned phone off and on, no issue at first then it persists.
I was thinking that it was the operators fault, however phone calls were not problematic from my iPhone. What should we do?
