Trying to open Library that hasn't been opened since a previous version of FCPX. I'm getting this pop-up. I've trashed Preferences, rebooted, etc. etc. Never seen this before. Wonder what the issue might be.

Rebooted Mac and FCPX several times. Went looking for an errant period. No find. This is what the file structure looks like inside the Library. Couldn't see anything abnormal (but what do I know from abnormal). Any structural hints for you here?

Yeah. I checked that earlier. Curious. The external drive won't let me change the protocol to 'read & write'. This is what I'm getting, see attached. If I try to change anything I get the little blue drop down box.
First, try quitting FCP, and restarting your mac.
If the problem persists, try this:
Quit FCP;
In the Finder, locate the library;
control-click and choose Show Package Contents
Press command-shift-period to show hidden files.
There should be some files with names starting with a period, like
.lock-info
Drag that file out of the package.
Close it and then try again.
I don’t think that you understood what I said.
In the Finder, in the situation you show in your screenshots:
hold down both the Command and Shift keys, and type a period
When you do that you toggle the showing of invisible files.
If you do it right, you will see three dimmed items (two files and one folder)
.lock
.lock-info
.lock-dir
Got it. Sorry. So I see the invisible files. But they won't allow me to drag them out of the Library (package contents). They just make copies on my desktop. But don't disappear from the Library.
I only dragged the .lock-info as suggested. Then tried to drag them all. Nothing will move out of the Library.
Maybe a permissions issue on the external drive or the library itself. Highlight the external drive, right-click and choose Get Info. Take a screenshot. Do the same for the Anode.fcpbundle library file and post both screen shots.

I'd forgotten. One of those jobs, in a lab where everybody has PC and raves about how great their PC's are, and how we have to work in PC with Premiere. And then they can't get any of the film stuff to work, and everything's on the clock and high speed anxious; so I whipped out my trusty MacBook Pro and flip all the footage over to FCPX, but still using the NTFS drive ... and get the job done 1,2,3. But I'd forgotten about that drive. Will flip everything over tonight ... mmm ... or maybe ...
I used PARAGON NTSF for Mac originally to run this drive. I just reconstituted my Paragon (newer computer) ... and will see if it allows me to load up the Library. Will report back after rebooting. Thank you kindly terryb.

The drive is formatted as NTFS. You'll need to copy everything off and reformat it to HFS+.
Where is the library? In an external drive?
If that is the case then dragging to the desktop copies the files. That is normal.
Drag to the trash.
Yes, it's an external drive.
Nada. The file appears 'locked'. Won't go into the Trash bin. Little chrome circle appears, with a line through it. File won't be dragged anywhere.
