I updated my phone to iOS 15 and now every time I plug in my phone to my car, the audio in my car automatically changes to CarPlay, even though I don’t want it to. I went to switch my phone to Low Power Mode, it turned on CarPlay; went to use safari, it turned on CarPlay. Randomly driving and listening to the radio, it turns on CarPlay.
What gives?

Same thing happens to me. When I change audio sources on in my car (from CarPlay to FM Radio for instance), CarPlay overrides that and keeps playing audio. 2017 Honda Ridgeline fwiw.
Turn off EQ
Settings —> Music —> EQ —> off
if that doesn’t work. General —> Reset —> Reset all settings.
EQ was already off.
What is Reset All Settings going to reset? I honestly shouldn’t have to be goi to extreme lengths after an Apple screw up.
This is still happening to me and it’s been 9 days since I’ve downloaded iOS 15.
We are having the same problem with CarPlay. We have 3 different phones and 3 different cars, all acting the same.

Updated to iOS 15.0.2 and it’s still a problem. Apple really needs to fix this.
