Lost and dead right AirPod sound won’t play

So I lost my right AirPod when I was sleeping and it died, so I went to the Find My app to play the sound, I found my left one but the sound would not play for my right one, at this moment I’m still searching for it. For the left one on the sound it is blue, but on the right one it is grey. Can someone please help me? (Covered up street names to protect where I live)

Hello blaine113,

We understand that you lost your AirPods and were able to locate the left one but cannot play a sound or locate the right one. We'd like to help.

Here's some information on How to find your lost AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max. Take a look at the section under "If your AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max are offline." Note that "If you see "No location found" or "Offline" under your AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max, you can't play a sound to find them but you might be able to get directions to the location where they were last connected. If they do come back online, you'll get a notification on the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch you use them with."

If your AirPods need to charge, it would be expected behavior to not have the option to play a sound on them. You may be able to see their last approximate location as you do indicated by the screenshot though.

Take care.
