I can’t set up HomePod mini to my xsmax

i have wifi connection and my HomePod mini is fully charged but I can’t set up

HomePod mini doesn't have a battery. It must be connected to the supplied power adaptor. Follow the advice in the linked article If you can't set up HomePod - Apple Support carefully. If you get stuck provide details of what doesn't work for you, any error message, etc.
