CarPlay not working with IPhone 13 Pro and iOS 15

I just got the iPhone 13 pro today and I have been having issues with my CarPlay. When I try to use Apple Music, Spotify or anything that has sound it shuts off my CarPlay and stops charging my phone. Once I get off the app that is using audio it is fine. I called technical support and they told me to erase all the contents and settings and set it up using the backed up data I have in the cloud. Did that and it still isn’t working.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or what I can do?

There is a reported but with Apple Music. See if there is a software update by going to Settings>General>Software Update. If so, install it. Someone reported in another thread there is an update to install and it is supposed to fix it.

I wouldn't. Beta software by definition is already buggy, and should never be installed on a daily use device. You could find yourself without a working phone. Watch and wait for Apple to release a fix.

Oh yeah. I did update it to iOS 15.1 using my MacBook but it still isn’t working on my CarPlay. Apple support didn’t really help either. All they wanted to do was send it to their engineers but that takes 5 business days and I need my GPS today.

I don’t have an update. It says that iOS 15 is up to date. Should I download the Beta?

The update was only supposed to address Apple Music, not an issue with CarPlay. Sorry you are experiencing a problem, but the engineers need to know about the issue so they can discover a fix.
