Audio problem on 6th generation Ipad

I have an 6th generation iPad and my audio keeps cutting out whenever I use zoom or discord and the person can’t hear me nor can I hear them.I have tried resetting the iPad and it starts working again and then, the same problem persists. I contacted Apple support numerous times and they keep telling me it’s an app issue and not an iPad issue. I’m running IPados 14.8. Does anyone have any suggestions or any ways I can fix this problem.
