How to close all open apps, please?

iOS 14 used a three-finger upwards gesture to show all open apps and allow closing them.

It appears to be gone from iOS 15.

Any clues, please?

Well, when a new iOS version is installed on an iPhone, I'd suggest that you always take a look at the user guide, this one:--> iPhone User Guide - Apple Support

Found it!

iOS 15 changed from the very difficult 3 fingers from bottom edge to mid-screen to requiring only 1 finger.

Apple - This is a good FEATURE. Please let your users who purchase your products and services know about it. I invested over an hour searching your release Tips and other sources before I FIGURED IT OUT ON MY OWN by shear persistence.
